Spring 2021 Rec League Guidelines

As we venture into our first Recreational Season since Winter 2019-20, we will need everyone's help to have a safe season for our players and volunteers.  We have new operating guidelines that will affect practices and games - please be sure to read them and do not hesitate to email with any questions.

Please be sure to read our updated guidelines BEFORE you drop your child off at their first practice and game

  • MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES - by everyone, players, coaches, volunteers, etc. This is a CYA Basketball policy that we are mandating across all of our programs (Travel, AAU & Recreational)Only exception is when a player is drinking water or changing masks
  • Athletic Masks: Masks should be appropriate for exercise.  If you see visible moisture on the outside of the mask, it's no longer protecting.  An informative article and shopping links can be found here.
  • Only coaches and players allowed in gyms for practices
  • Only one spectator per player is allowed into Fairfax County Public School (FCPS) Gyms

  • As an organization, we have reporting responsibilities to the Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD)
  • If a player tests positive and has had direct exposure with the team, we are required to pause all activities for that team - until we hear from the FCHD
  • FCHD will perform contact tracing and will provide guidance to parents on how long to quarantine
